Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

Grays - Zone H Access Roads

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above on 14 October 2019, the Order will come into force on 14 November 2019.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce "No Waiting At Any Time" at the locations specified below:

a) Gipsy Lane – eastern side from the northern property boundary of number 42 Gipsy Lane, northwards for 6m
b) Gipsy Lane – western side from the northern property boundary of number 143b William Street, northwards for 5m
c) Gipsy Lane – western side from the southern property boundary of number 142b William Street, southwards for 13m
d) Alfred Street – eastern side from the southern property boundary of number 27 Arthur Street, southwards for 6m
e) Alfred Street – western side from the southern property boundary of number 29 Arthur Street, southwards for 6.7m
f) Alfred Street – eastern side from the northern property boundary of number 103 Grove Road, northwards for 5.3m
g) Alfred Street – western side from the southern property building line of number 116 William Street, southwards for 5m
h) Percy Street – eastern side from the southern property building line of number 55 Arthur Street, southwards for 4.8m
i) Percy Street – western side from the southern property building line of number 63 Arthur Street, southwards for 5m

New limited waiting bays “Mon - Fri 8am - 6pm, 2 hours stay, No Return within 2 hours” at the locations specified below:

a) John Street eastern side from the southern property boundary of number 79 Arthur Street, southwards for 29.8m outside of All Saints Church, Grays
b) John Street western side adjacent to St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church Car Park 4.5m north of the property building line of number 2 John Street northwards for 15.8m

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans will be available for inspection for a period of 21 days at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL during normal office hours and also on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act has not been compiled with, may, within 3 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
