Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

Laird Avenue and Jesmond Road, Grays

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

a) the south side of Laird Avenue east from the common boundary of 62 and 64 Laird Avenue and then following the kerb line around the radius south, covering the west side of the carriageway and the grass verge, to the point where it meets the rear boundary fence line of 64 Laird Avenue
b) the south side of Laird Avenue west from the west flank wall of 66 Laird Avenue and then following the kerb line around the radius south, covering the east side of the carriageway plus the footway and the grass verge, to the point where it meets the rear boundary fence line of 66 Laird Avenue
c) the west side of Jesmond Road from its junction with Laird Avenue, south along the kerb line, covering the west side of the carriageway plus the footway and the grass verge, to the point where it meets the rear boundary fence line of 78 Laird Avenue

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 15 June 2023. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
