Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Waiting Restrictions

South Chafford no.2

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on the 18 September 2020, the order will come into force on the 30 October 2020.

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

a) to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

i. on the northern kerb line of Lancaster Road from a point 10m east of the eastern kerb line of Maunder Close in a easterly direction for a distance of 75m
ii. on the northern kerb line of Grenville Road between Nos 2 and 8 Grenville Road for a distance of 19m
iii. on the eastern kerb line of Grenville Road, from the northern flank wall of No. 8 Grenville Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 6m
iv. on the eastern kerb line of Grenville Road, from the northern flank wall of No. 7 Grenville Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 5m
v. on both sides of Norfolk Place from the southern boundary of No. 75 Mayflower Road in a easterly direction for a distance of 10m
vi. on the northern kerb line of Parr Close from a point 10m east of the eastern kerb line of Galleon Road in a easterly direction for a distance of 67m
vii. on the western kerb line of Mary Rose Close, from a point 10m south of the southern kerb line of Saffron Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 23m

b) to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting Mon-Fri 1pm-2pm" at the following locations:

i. on the northern kerb line of Rawlyn Close, from a point 10m west of the western kerb line of Hedingham Road in an easterly then northerly direction to northern boundary of No. 55 Rawlyn Close
ii. on the southern kerb line of Rawlyn Close from a point 10m west of the western kerb line of Hedingham Road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 67m

c) to revoke the ”No Waiting Mon-Fri 1pm-2pm” restrictions at the following locations:

i. on the northern kerb line of Parr Close from a point 10m east of the eastern kerb line of Galleon Road in a easterly direction for a distance of 67m
ii. on the western kerb line of Mary Rose Close, from a point 10m south of the southern kerb line of Saffron Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 23m

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development Team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
