Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above on 16 January 2020, the Order will come into force on the 2 March 2020.

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

a) To introduce new waiting restrictions “Limited Waiting Bay, Mon-Fri 10am-4pm 2hrs no return within 4hrs” at the following locations:

i. on the south western side of Wharf Road, from a point 27m northwest of the northern kerb line of Rectory Road in a northwest direction for a distance of 5m
ii. on the north eastern side of Wharf Road, from a point the northern flank wall of 17 Wharf Road in a southeast direction for a distance of 5.7m
iii. on both sides of Salisbury Road, from a point 10m east of the eastern kerb line of Wharf Road in a north east direction for a distance of 5m
iv. on the north western side of Rectory Road, from a point 10m west of the western kerb line of Wharf Road in a south west direction for a distance of 11m
v. on the south eastern side of Rectory Road, from a point 10m west of the western kerb line of Wharf Road in a south west direction for a distance of 15m

b) To introduce new waiting restrictions “Limited Waiting Bay, Mon-Fri 10am-4pm 3hrs no return within 4hrs” at the following locations:

i. on the south eastern side of Central Road, from a point opposite 7m southwest of the western flank wall of 8 Central Road in a northeast direction for a distance of 25m
ii. on the south eastern side of Central Road, from a point opposite 2m southwest of the western flank wall of 4 Central Road in a northeast direction for a distance of 9.3m
iii. on the south eastern side of Central Road, from a point opposite 5m northeast of the western flank wall of 2 Central Road in a northeast direction for a distance of 45.4m
iv. on the south western side of Scratton Road, from a point 16m northwest of the northern flank wall of 61 Scratton Road in a north western direction for a distance of 30m
v. on Hardie Road eastern arm rear of no’s 30-38, from a point 2m north-east of the of the boundary (extended to the rear) of Nos. 35/36 Hardie Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 15.6m
vi. on Hardie Road eastern arm rear of no’s 30-38, from a point 26.3m north-east of the of the boundary (extended to the rear) of Nos. 35/36 Hardie Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 7.8m

c) To revoke waiting restrictions “Limited Waiting Bay, 2hrs no return within 4hrs” at the following locations:

i. on Hardie Road eastern arm rear of no’s 30-38, from a point 2m north-east of the of the boundary (extended to the rear) of Nos. 35/36 Hardie Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 15.6m
ii. on Hardie Road eastern arm rear of no’s 30-38, from a point 26.3m north-east of the of the boundary (extended to the rear) of Nos. 35/36 Hardie Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 7.8m

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans will be available for inspection for a period of 21 days at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL during normal office hours and also on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act has not been compiled with, may, within 3 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
