Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 5 September 2019, the order will come in to force on 7 October 2019.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce new waiting restrictions "No Waiting at Any Time" at the following locations:

i. on the southeast side of Kingsman Road, from a point 4m south of the common boundary line for 44 and 46 Kingsman Road to a point 4m east of the western flank wall of 46 Kingsman Road
ii. on the southwest side of Poley Road, from a point 4m south of the common boundary line for 59 and 61 Poley Road to a point 4m west of the eastern flank wall of 61 Poley Road
iii. at the junction of Romsey Close and Valmar Avenue
iv. on the eastern side of Scratton Road, from a point 5m north of the northern flank wall of 43 Corringham Road northwards to a point 1m south of the southern flank wall of 2 Scratton Road
v. on the western side of Scratton Road, from the northern flank wall of 41 Corringham Road northwards to the southern flank wall of 1A Scratton Road
vi. on the western side of Ruskin Road, from a point 1m north of the northern flank wall of 2 Ruskin Road southwards to a point  1m south of the southern flank wall of 3 Ruskin Road
vii. on the eastern side of Runnymede Road, from a point 2m south of the southern flank wall of 26-32 Runnymede Court to a point 2m north of the northern flank wall of 17 to 24 Runnymede Court
viii. at Hassenbrook Road and Corringham Road junction extending existing double yellow lines on both sides of Hassenbrook Road from 10m to 15m
ix. at Hassenbrook Road and Corringham Road junction extending existing double yellow lines on both sides of Corringham Road northern kerb line from 10m to 15m from the western and eastern kerb line of Hassenbrook Road retrospectively

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans will be available for inspection for a period of 21 days at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL during normal office hours and also on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
