Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Tilbury Area Intervention Programme (AIP) area 12, no.4

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 3 March 2022, the order will come in to force on 8 April 2022.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting at Any Time" at the following locations:

i. at the junction of Civic Square/Brennan Road
ii. both sides of Brennan Road from its junction with Civic Square in an easterly direction for a distance of 32m
iii. at the junction of Civic Square/London Road
iv. at the junction of Civic Square/Kelvin Road
v. at the junction of Civic Square/Newton Road
vi. at the junction of Newton Road/Sydney Road
vii. at the junction of Newton Road/Lister Road
viii. at the junction of Newton Road/Hume Avenue

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
