(Amendment)

Tilbury Permit Parking Area Phase 2

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above on 9 November 2018, the Order will come into force on the 30 November 2018.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a Permit Parking Area Mon-Fri 8am-6pm on the roads specified below:

  • Dock Road from its junction with Calcutta Road to its junction with Montreal Road
  • Malta Road
  • road at rear of 1 to 33 Bermuda Road
  • road at rear of 78 to 86 Dock Road
  • Bermuda Road
  • road at rear of Riverside Heights 66 Dock Road
  • road at rear of Red Cross Hall
  • road between 26 and 36 Bermuda Road
  • road at rear of 7 to 55 Calcutta Road and 1 to 22 St Andrews Court Calcutta Road
  • road at rear of 1 to 14 Commonwealth House
  • Canberra Square
  • Sydney Road
  • Auckland Close
  • road between 2 Sydney Road and Penventon Court
  • road at rear of 24 to 58 Dock Road
  • road at rear of 6 to 24 Sydney Road
  • road at rear of St John Baptist's Church
  • road at the rear of 3 to 23 Auckland Close
  • road and area at rear of 26 to 36 Sydney Road
  • Wellington Road
  • Montreal Road from its junction with Dock Road to its junction with Sydney Road

To introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" on the roads specified below:

  • on the south west side of Dock Road
  • junction of Dock Road and Malta Road
  • junction of Dock Road and Nairn Court
  • junction of Dock Road and Bermuda Road
  • junction of Dock Road and Sydney Road
  • junction of Dock Road and Auckland Close
  • junction of Sydney Road and the eastern arm of Canberra Square
  • junction of Sydney Road and Auckland Close
  • junction of Sydney Road and the western arm of Canberra Square
  • on the south and west side of Sydney Road

The revocation the existing No waiting Monday to Saturday 8:00am to 6:30pm traffic regulation order at the following locations:

  • both sides of Dock Road
  • both sides Malta Road
  • Bermuda Road
  • Sydney Road
  • Auckland Close
  • Wellington Road
  • their junctions with Dock Road

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans will be available for inspection for a period of 21 days at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL during normal office hours and also on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers to conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act has not been compiled with, may, within 3 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
