Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Various restrictions

Various Roads, Grays, Stanford-le-Hope, South Ockendon

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on the 28 March 2019, the order will come in to force on the 15 April 2019.

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

a) To introduce new School Entrance Markings "No Stopping Mon-Fri 8am-5pm on School Markings":

i. On the east side of Tamar Drive, from a point 4m north of the north boundary line of 30 Tamar Drive, in a north direction for a distance of 43.5m, South Ockendon

b) To introduce new waiting restrictions "No Waiting At Any Time":

i. At the junction of Tamar Drive / Access Road for 37 to 63 Tamar Drive, South Ockendon
ii. At the junction of Balmoral Avenue / Sandringham Close, Stanford-le-Hope
iii. On both sides of Balmoral Avenue, from a point 2m northwest of the north boundary line of number 1 Balmoral Avenue, in a northwest direction for a distance of 20m, Stanford-le-Hope
iv. On the east side of Balmoral Avenue, from the south boundary line of number 15 Balmoral Avenue, in a southeast direction to St James Avenue junction, Stanford-le-Hope
v. On the west side of Balmoral Avenue, from the north boundary line of number 28 Balmoral Avenue, in a southeast direction to St James Avenue junction, Stanford-le-Hope
vi. On the south side of Humber Avenue, from a point 3.7m east of the east boundary line of number 51 Humber Avenue, in a northeast direction for a distance of 52.6m to the existing School Entrance Markings, South Ockendon
vii. On the north side of Garron Lane, from a point 8m west of the western boundary line of number 20 Garron Lane, in a southwest direction for a distance of 17.7m to the existing School Entrance Markings, South Ockendon
viii. On the northwest side of Elm/Maple Road bend, from a point 14m northeast of the western boundary line of number 65-67 Elm Road to a point 2m north of the southern boundary line of number 46 Maple Road, Grays

c) To revoke the following Restrictions:

i. No waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" From a point 4m north of the north boundary line of 30 Tamar Drive, in a north direction for a distance of 43.5m, South Ockendon.

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans will be available for inspection for a period of 21 days at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL during normal office hours and also on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
