Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Sunshine Centre

Following government guidance to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the Sunshine Centre is closed until further notice.

Befriending

Our befriending service helps small groups of children and young adults access community-based activities.

The children benefit from social interaction, building friendships and having fun together in the community, and can improve their independence skills.

We run regular befriending group sessions, listed below, and extra befriending activities during the school summer holidays.

Lucky Stars befriending group

This group is for years 4 to 6 – ages 8 to 10 – and runs:

  • two Tuesday evenings each month, from 4:30pm to 7pm
  • one Saturday each month, from 10am to 3pm

Supersonic befriending group

This group is for years 6 to 10 – ages 10 to 14 – and runs:

  • one Saturday each month, from 10am to 3pm

New York Peeps befriending group

This group is for years 10 to 13 – ages 14 to 18 – and runs:

  • two Thursday evenings each month, from 6pm to 9pm
  • one Saturday each month, from 10am to 3pm
