Students aged from 16 to 19 can work on a further education curriculum that has a special focus on independent living skills to prepare for adult life. This includes opportunities for work and leisure activities in the community.
All post 16 students complete a number of 'towards independence' modules from a special curriculum developed by ASDAN – from these they can get nationally accredited certificates.
Our positive relationship with students' parents is vital. It helps us support each student to develop the skills they need to move on in life.
Students and parents are supported through this transition by the school, social services and careers advisers.
