Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Transforming Homes

The Transforming Homes programme is currently limited to work that can be carried out within government guidelines. We are contacting residents with details of how these affect works to their property. If you need to discuss this further, please contact your resident liaison officer.

What we will be doing

Before the works start you will get a letter, which will give an overview of the Transforming Homes programme.

A resident liaison officer will visit you to talk about the works and the choices you can make. Some or all of the following work may be done on your home. A survey will be carried out to decide the exact work that will be undertaken. We have already set the standard that your home should meet.

Your home may need work to be carried out that is different to a neighbour's home. If items in your home already meet the standard then these will not be replaced.

  • new bath with mixer attachment and wash-hand basin including taps
  • new wash hand basin in separate WC, where practical

  • redecorating
  • vinyl flooring
  • electrical rewiring
Other Install smoke alarm or upgrade existing one

Depending on a survey of your home and the condition of the following items we may also:

  • rewire other rooms in your home
  • renew your consumer unit (also known as fuse board)
  • renew your boiler
  • install a new extractor fan in the kitchen and bathroom
