What's on at your library

Coronavirus (COVID-19) – libraries

Belhus library, Corringham library and Grays library have reopened. Other libraries remain closed until further notice. You can access newspapers and magazines, get e-books and e-audio and take part in job club sessions online.

Go to our coronavirus (COVID-19) safety page for information on visiting re-opened libraries and items due for return. Items due between 1 January and 31 July have had their loan dates extended automatically to 1 September. Please do not put borrowed items in library book drops or letterboxes.

  • using computers
  • setting up email accounts
  • searching for, applying for, and uploading CVs for jobs online
  • filling-in online application forms
  • interview techniques.
  • books about job seeking that you can borrow
  • support after recruitment

During the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak you can take part in Job Club sessions online using Zoom video chat. Sessions are free but you must book in advance.

If you would like to take part, let us know by email and we will send you details of how to join in.
