Housing - Gas repairs

What you said

A resident expressed concerns that his gas fire had not been serviced correctly and due to this he was not using the fire.

What we did

A further inspection was carried out which identified some irregularities however since then this has been re-tested and confirmed that the fire and flue are safe to use.

How we expect our service to get better

The contractor has reviewed their process for gas servicing and an additional step has been included whereby the Engineer takes photographic evidence of the catchment area once the fire has been removed during the service, to demonstrate that the fire was removed for cleaning and flue flow tests.

This will be further discussed at the next governance meeting as part of contractual performance.
