Free AI support for local businesses

to

Small business owners and leaders in Thurrock are being encouraged to take advantage of a free programme designed to help them use artificial intelligence (AI) to improve their business.

Funded by Thames Freeport, the AI Adoption Programme is open to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Thurrock, Barking & Dagenham, and Havering. It is aimed at business owners, directors and managers who want to explore how AI can help solve everyday business challenges and increase efficiency.

No previous experience or technical knowledge is required. The programme is designed to be practical and accessible, helping participants understand how AI can be applied in real-world situations within their business.

The course runs over four weeks and begins with an in-person workshop, followed by flexible online learning and weekly support sessions. This allows participants to learn at their own pace while applying new skills directly to their work.

Two courses are due to begin later this month:

  • Sunday 22 June – opening workshop at Harold Hill Library, Havering (3pm to 7pm)
  • Sunday 29 June – opening workshop at The Beehive, CVS, Thurrock (3pm to 7pm)

Places are limited and expected to fill quickly.
