The new trail includes stops in Purfleet-on-Thames, Tilbury, West Tilbury, Horndon-on-the-Hill and Grays, and takes visitors on a journey through Thurrock's rich and varied past, highlighting locations connected with famous historical figures including novelist Daniel Defoe, Dracula author Bram Stoker, naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace and Queen Elizabeth I.
