The Thameside Theatre in Grays will be keeping residents and visitors entertained for at least another 20 months.

It means that the Thameside will remain a haven for arts, entertainment and music with shows being booked up to the end of March 2028.

Cllr George Monk, Cabinet Member for Deregulation, Efficiency and Civic Pride, said: “The Thameside Theatre is a vital local hub for arts and culture, so it is fantastic to know that its immediate future is secure and that it will be booking shows to keep everyone entertained until at least March 2028.

Festive fun will be back at the Thameside Theatre this year with the return of the ever popular panto.

Residents will be able to enjoy arts, entertainment and music at the Thameside Theatre which is booking acts all the way up to the end of December 2025.

The Thameside Theatre is part of the Thameside Complex at the heart of Grays and provides a wide range of opportunities for diverse communities to come together and experience inclusive and exciting productions, events, learning and celebrations.

Deputy Leader of Thurrock Council, Cllr Lynn Worrall said: "We are delighted to be able to continue programming for the Thameside Theatre until the end of 2025.

So avast me hearties and hop on board the Jolly Roger for a swashbuckling panto adventure at Thameside Theatre, Grays on Friday 24 May and Saturday 25 May.

Daily shows and productions at the Thameside Theatre this October half term offer fun for everyone, with an action-packed line-up of theatre, comedy and family entertainment.
