Calling all businesses: New commercial weighbridge service at Linford HWRC

Commercial waste customers in Thurrock and neighbouring boroughs, can now benefit from a new pay-as-you-weigh service with the opening of a weighbridge facility at Linford Household Waste Recycling Centre.

The new service provides a simple, fair and flexible way for commercial customers to dispose of waste, with charges based on the exact weight of material brought to site, rather than a flat fee or container size. This ensures customers only pay for the waste they dispose.

Who can use the weighbridge service?

The weighbridge facility is available to a wide range of commercial waste customers, including:

  • Traders
  • Contractors
  • Businesses
  • Landlords
  • Charities and community groups

To ensure the safe operation of the weighbridge, all vehicles using the facility must comply with the site’s size restrictions. The maximum permitted vehicle or vehicle-and-trailer combination length is 7.83 metres (25 feet 8 inches).

Residents disposing of DIY or construction waste, that is classified as commercial waste, can also use this weighbridge service.

How to use the weighbridge service?

Just show up with your commercial waste. No bookings are required.
