Dive into the Essex Book Festival

Bestselling author Lesley Kara is coming to Grays Central Library on Tuesday 2 June at 7pm as part of the annual Essex Book Festival.

Lesley is the author of the best seller, The Rumour, and will be talking about her sharp, incisive and claustrophobic new novel. Troublemaker is a psychological thriller which asks how do you solve a murder when no one believes it took place?

Historical fiction writer Louise Hare will be at Belhus Library and South Ockendon Centre on Tuesday 9 June at 11am.

Louise wrote The House of Fallen Sisters, an enthralling masterpiece which paints a vivid picture of 18th century London’s underbelly and shows how, even in the darkest of times, there is always hope for a better future.

The great news is there is 50% discount for both events for Thurrock Libraries members who book in-person at Grays Library, cash only.

The annual Thurrock Local Authors Fair is back at Grays Central Library on Saturday 20 June from 10am to 12:30pm. The event is free and a wonderful chance to discover the rich wealth of local authors and poets from across the borough.
