Road markings at a busy junction and pedestrian crossing in East Tilbury have been refreshed, helping to improve visibility and make the area safer and easier to navigate for residents and visitors.
The road markings and pedestrian crossing on Princess Margaret Road in East Tilbury had become worn and faded over time because of regular traffic and changing weather conditions.
The markings have now been renewed, with the junction and pedestrian crossing reinstated. The work has restored the clarity of the road layout and crossing point, while improving the overall appearance and condition the road.
Councillor Richard Bingley, Leader of Thurrock Council, said: “Keeping our roads and public spaces clean, safe and well maintained makes a real difference to everyday life for residents. These may seem like relatively small improvements, but clear and visible road markings are important in helping drivers and pedestrians understand the road layout and use the crossing safely.
“I’m pleased to see the markings on Princess Margaret Road refreshed. It’s another positive step towards restoring civic pride in the borough, ensuring residents can feel confident when getting around their community.”
