Road users and residents of Walton Hall Road, in Stanford-Le-Hope, are benefiting from an environmental improvement project.
The area had become affected by overgrown vegetation, litter and an accumulation of unwanted waste, including fly-tipping.
The Council's Clean & Green team undertook a programme of environmental maintenance works, pruning and trimming overgrown vegetation, removing discarded rubbish from verges as well as dealing with a quantity of fly-tipped and accumulated waste in nearby land.
The improvements have enhanced the appearance of the area, helped to deter further waste accumulation and demonstrated the Council's commitment to maintaining clean, safe and attractive neighbourhoods.
Cllr Tom Kelly, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Environment, said: "These improvements at Walton Hall Road have made a real difference to the local environment and to the experience of residents and road users who use this route every day.”
The Council continues to invest in environmental improvement initiatives across the borough to ensure public spaces are well maintained and accessible for all.
