Thurrock Council is proud celebrate Refugee Week, the world’s largest arts and culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity, and resilience of refugees and those seeking sanctuary.

As a council and community, Thurrock has united to play an essential role in providing resettlement support to over 300 Ukrainians and Afghans under the government schemes for Afghan Relocations (2021) and Homes for Ukraine (2022).

To celebrate Refugee Week (17 – 23 June 2024), we’ll be celebrating the variety of cultural activities and events across the borough.
