It may seem to be a little far away to start planning for the festive season, but traditional panto is on the way once more for Thurrock. Following last year’s critically acclaimed, record-breaking pantomime, the Thameside Theatre and Polka Dot Pantomimes have teamed up once again to present this year’s magical Christmas extravaganza: ‘The New Adventures of Peter Pan’.
Take flight alongside Peter, Wendy and Tinks as audiences get set to venture to Never Island and set sail on Captain Hook's pirate ship. Brace yourselves to meet the Crazy Crew and test your sea legs in this thrilling adventure that features spectacular scenery, dazzling costumes, amazing special effects, heaps of audience participation, plenty of comedy and a festive helping of Christmas magical fairy dust!
Following last year’s successful staging, Thurrock Council has announced that Polka Dot – a nationwide leader in producing and staging festive fun and frolics – has once again been selected to put together what will be an extravaganza of “Look behind you’s!” and laugh-out-loud moments for local residents to enjoy.
The Council is already working hard alongside theatre managers and others to secure an extension of the existing ticketing system so that residents can get priority information on and buy tickets for a variety of wonderful shows and activities, including the Christmas panto. Thurrock’s new festive pantomime will be among the family favourites and highlights which local people can watch and enjoy.

Cllr John Kent, Thurrock Council Cabinet Member for Sustainability, Culture, Arts and Heritage said: “I am delighted that this year’s Thameside pantomime will be the New adventures of Peter Pan - and that we will again be working with Polka Dot to make sure of a fantastic festive show for residents. The pantomime is always the biggest event of the year at the Thameside, and tickets sell out really quickly - so I urge everyone to get in early!”
The show wil run from 30 November until 4 Januraury.
