Students across Thurrock are celebrating today (Thursday 13 August) as A-level, BTEC and T-level results are released.
At South Essex College in Grays, students gathered with friends, family and tutors to receive their results and share plans for the future, with many preparing for university, apprenticeships, employment and further study.
As students begin preparing for the next stage of their journey, careers support will continue to be available throughout the summer for anyone who would like advice or guidance about their options.
A Results Day Support Session will take place at the Inspire Hub in Grays on Wednesday 26 August from 10am to 12:30pm, offering the opportunity to speak with careers advisers and explore education, training and employment pathways.
Anyone wishing to attend can simply drop in on the day.
Cllr Milena Bingley, Cabinet Member for Education, Skills and Children’s Services, said: "Whether students are heading to university, taking up an apprenticeship, moving into employment or continuing their studies, today marks an important milestone and they should be proud of everything they have achieved.
"We know that results day can bring a mix of emotions, and some young people may still be thinking about what comes next. If things haven't gone exactly to plan, there is support available. Our careers advisers can help people understand their options and explore the different routes open to them, so I would encourage anyone looking for guidance to come along to our support session later this month."
