Residents can now receive the latest news and updates from Thurrock Council directly to their phone by following the council’s new WhatsApp channel.
The Thurrock Council WhatsApp channel is a one-way broadcast service, providing residents with key updates, campaign information, events and helpful advice – all in one place. Personal phone numbers and details remain private and are not visible to the council or other followers.
The channel is free to follow, and residents can opt in or out at any time.
Cllr Richard Bingley, Leader of Thurrock Council, said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for residents to stay informed and connected with the council. Our new WhatsApp channel is a quick and convenient way to receive important updates straight to your phone, helping ensure you don’t miss out on key news, services and local opportunities.”
