Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
A13 - Borough Boundary At Five Bells To Stanford Interchange - Corringham
NOTE: The schedule of works is displayed in the attachmentÂ
1) The Borough Council of Thurrock, in exercise of their powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers, has made an Order the effect of which is to:
- Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along the A13 between the Borough Boundary At Five Bells To Stanford Interchange in accordance with Schedule One to the Order.
2) The purpose of the Order is to enable Thurrock Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing.
3) The alternative route for westbound vehicles will be Five Bells Interchange, Nether Mayne A176, Roundacre New Roundabout, Roundacre, Broadmayne Roundabout, Upper Mayne, Upper Mayne Roundabout, Burches Roundabout, Southend Arterial Road To Upper Mayne Link Road, Southend Arterial Road Slip Road From A127 To Upper Mayne Westbound, Southend Arterial Road Slip Road From Upper Mayne To A127 Westbound, Southend Arterial Road, Westbound Slip From A127 To A128, Halfway House Roundabout, Tilbury Road, Bulphan Bypass, Brentwood Road, Orsett Cock Interchange and vice versa for eastbound vehicles.
4) The Order will come into force on the 13th April 2026 at 21:00hrs. Works are currently scheduled to take place nightly between 13th April 2026 and 25th April 2026 between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 as per Schedule One to the Order. Exact dates however will always be specified on https://one.network/?tm=GB149196331 It only applies to those days and times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance
with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5) It is expected that the works will be completed within the above times, however the Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner
6) If the works are not completed within 18 months, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
