Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
The Borough of Thurrock (AIP 17 Grays) (20mph Zone)
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4, 84, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).
2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a 20mph Zone at the location(s)/ roads specified below:-

- Blackshots Lane, from a point 20m north of Wentworth Place to Long Lane
- Bodell Close, for its entire length
- Broadview Avenue, for its entire length
- Chestnut Avenue, for its entire length
- Claremont Close, for its entire length
- Cobham, for its entire length
- Connaught Avenue, for its entire length
- Conrad Close, for its entire length
- Conrad Gardens, for its entire length
- Crowchman Close, for its entire length
- Crowstone Road, for its entire length
- Culford Road, for its entire length
- Glouchester Avenue, for its entire length
- Harvey, for its entire length
- Heath View Gardens, for its entire length
- Heath View Road, for its entire length
- Haven Place, for its entire length

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk. 4) Any support/objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays,RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 31st July 2025. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
