Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic

The Borough of Thurrock (Area 17, Grays, No 3) (No Waiting At Any Time)

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce “No Waiting At Any Time” restrictions at the following locations:

      1. On the western side of Blackshots Lane, from a point 6m south of the common boundary of 87 and 89 Blackshots Lane, in a northerly direction following the kerb line to the common boundary of no 95 and 97 Blackshots Lane
      2. On both sides of Laird Avenue from a point 11m east of the eastern kerb line of Blackshots Lane for a in an easterly direction following the kerb line distance of 5.5m.
      3. On both sides of Cherrydown, from the southern kerb line of Long Lane in a southerly direction following the kerb line for a distance of 13m.
      4. On the southern side of Long Lane, from the western kerb line of Cherrydown in a westerly direction following the kerb line for a distance of 14m.
      5. On the southern side of Long Lane, from the eastern kerb line of Cherrydown in an easterly direction following the kerb line for a distance of 14m.
      6. On the western side of Jesmond Road, from the southern flank wall of no 14 Jesmond Road, in a northerly direction following the kerb line for a distance of 7.4m.
      7. On the northern side of Jesmond Road, from a point 4m east of the eastern boundary of no 4 Jesmond Road, in an easterly direction following the kerb line for a distance of 10.5m.
      8. On the eastern and southern side of Jesmond Road, from a point opposite the common boundary of no 12 and 14 Jesmond Road in a northerly easterly direction following the kerb line to the common boundary of no 13 and 15 Jesmond Road.
      9. On the western and southern side of Milford Road, from the common boundary of no 2 and 4 Milford Road, in a northerly direction following the kerb line to a point opposite the common boundary of no 5 and 7 Milford Road.
      10. On the eastern side of Milford Road, from a point opposite the common boundary of no 2 and 4 Milford Road, in a northerly direction following the kerb line for a distance of 11m.
      11. On the eastern side of Milford Road, from a point 2.8m east of the eastern boundary of no 9 Milford Road, in a westerly direction following the kerb line to the common boundary of no 5 and 7 Milford Road.

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. 4) Any support/objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 31st July 2025. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
