Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
The Borough of Thurrock (Aveley and Uplands No.1)
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 14th August 2025, the order will come in to force on the 19th September 2025.
2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction “No Waiting At Any Time” at the following location(s):
i. On the southern side of High Street from the western boundary wall of property No. 20 High Street following the kerbline in a westerly direction for a distance of 20m
ii. On the southern side of High Street from the eastern boundary wall of property No. 28 High Street following the kerbline in an easterly direction for a distance of 13m
3) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce new waiting restrictions “No Waiting At Any Time” at the following locations;-
i. On the western side of Tamar Drive from the southern kerbline of Swale close in a westerly direction for a distance of 10m
ii. On the southern side Swale Close from the western kerbline of Tamar Drive in a southerly direction for a distance of 10m
iii. On the western side of Tamar Drive from the northern kerbline of Swale close in a northerly direction for a distance of 10m
iv. On the northern side of Swale Close from the western kerbline of Tamar Drive in a westerly direction for a distance of 10m
4) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development Team by contacting us on 01375 652652 during normal office hours and also on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices
5) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
