Public notice

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4, 84, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a 20mph Zone at the location(s)/ roads specified below:-

1. 1. 1. Edith Way, for it's entire length
      2. Elmstead Close, for it's entire length
      3. Fernside Close, for it's entire length
      4. Glenfield Road, for it's entire length
      5. Kenwood Road, for it's entire length
      6. Kersbrooke Way, for it's entire length
      7. Lampits Lane, for it's entire length
      8. Oakwood Road, for it's entire length
      9. Wheatley Road, for it's entire length
      10. Woodbrooke Way, from Lampits Hill to Kenwood Road
      11. Woolifers Avenue, for it's entire length

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk.  Those who are unable to use email can phone 01375 652652.

4) Any support/objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays,RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 31st July 2025. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
