The Borough of Thurrock - Mayflower Road - Waiting Restrictions

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

On-street Parking and Waiting Restrictions Order 2005 (as amended)

 

  1. Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).

     

  2. The general effect of the Order would be to:-

     

  3. Revoke existing waiting restrictions “No Waiting Mon-Fri 1pm-2pm” at the following locations;-
    1. On the north side of Mayflower Road from a point 26m east from the eastern kerb line of Galleon Road in an easterly direction to the western kerb line of Plymouth Road. 
    2. On the north side of Mayflower Road from the eastern kerb line of Plymouth Road in an easterly direction to the western property wall of No. 21 Mayflower Road. 

       

  4. Revoke existing waiting restrictions “No Waiting Mon-Fri 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm” at the following locations;-
    1. On the south side of Mayflower Road from a point opposite the eastern property wall of No. 83 Mayflower Road in an easterly direction following the kerb line to a point 20m west of the western kerb line of Hatfield Road.

  5. Introduce new waiting restrictions “No Waiting Mon-Fri 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm” at the following locations;-
    1. On the north side of Mayflower Road from a point 26m east from the eastern kerb line of Galleon Road in an easterly direction to the western kerb line of Plymouth Road.
    2. On the north side of Mayflower Road from the eastern kerb line of Plymouth Road in an easterly direction to the western property wall of No. 21 Mayflower Road.
    3. On the northeast side of Mayflower Road from a point 10m west of the western property wall on No. 55 Mayflower Road following the kerb line in a south easterly direction to a point 7.6m southeast of the shared boundary wall of No. 59 and 61 Mayflower Road.
    4. On the northeast side of Mayflower Road from a point 6.2m northwest of the shared boundary wall of No. 63 and 65 Mayflower Road following the kerb line in a southeasterly direction to the northern property wall of No. 75 Mayflower Road.  
    5. On the north side of Mayflower Road from the western property wall of No. 85 Mayflower Road following the kerb line in an easterly direction to the shared boundary of No. 89 and 91 Mayflower Road.
    6. On the north side of Mayflower Road from a point 10.2m from the eastern kerb line of Santiago Way following the kerb line in a southeasterly direction to a point 18.6m from the western kerb line of Hatfield Road.
    7. On the southern side of Mayflower Road from a point 2m east of the western property wall of No. 93 Mayflower Road in an easterly direction following the kerb line to a point 20m west of the western kerb line of Hatfield Road.
    8. On the northern side of Mayflower Road from a point 5.5m west of the western property wall of No. 199 Mayflower Road in an easterly direction following the kerb line to the common boundary wall of Nos. 131 and 133 to 134 Mayflower Road.
  6. Introduce new waiting restrictions “No Waiting At Any Time” at the following locations;-
    1. On the northeast side of Mayflower Road from the northern property line of No. 77 Mayflower Road following the kerb line in a southeasterly direction to the western property wall of No. 85 Mayflower Road.
    2. On the southern side of Mayflower Road from a point opposite the common boundary wall of Nos. 89 and 91 Mayflower Road following the kerb line in an easterly direction to a point 2m east of the western property wall of No. 93 Mayflower Road. 

 

  1. A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk.  Those who are unable to use email can phone 01375 652652.

     

  2. Any support/objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 23rd July 2026. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
