On-street Parking and Waiting Restrictions Order 2005 (as amended), Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
Calcutta Road, Tilbury - On-Street Electric Vehicle Parking Places
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 33, 35, 45 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).
2) The general effect of the Order would be to;

- Revoke the shared use bays “Electric Vehicle Charging Bay/ Limited waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6pm 2hrs no return within 1hr” at the following location;-
- On the southern side Calcutta Road, Tilbury. Outside No’s 39 to 55 (4 Bays)
- Revoke the shared use bays “Electric Vehicle Charging Bay/ Limited waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6pm 2hrs no return within 1hr” at the following location;-

- Implement “Electric Vehicle Charging Bay Only” at the following location;-
- On the southern side Calcutta Road, Tilbury. Outside No’s 39 to 55 (4 Bays)
- Implement “Electric Vehicle Charging Bay Only” at the following location;-
3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk. 4) Any support/objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 12th March 2026. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
