Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
(Footpath from London Road to Chantry Crescent, Stanford-le-Hope) (Prohibition of Driving)
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).
2) The general effect of the Order would be to;
a) Revoke “The Urban District of Thurrock (Footpath from Church Hill to Chantry Crescent, Stanford-le-Hope (Prohibition of Driving) Order 1971”
b) Introduce a Prohibition of Driving Motor Vehicles restriction at the locations specified below: -
i. Footpath from London Road to Chantry Crescent, Stanford-le-Hope,
3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk. 4) Any support/objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 18th September 2025. Any support/objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
