Public notice

1. Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on the 17th June 2026, the order will come in to force on the 17th July 2026.

    

2. The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction “No Waiting At Any Time” at the following location(s);-

    

   1. On both sides of East Street, from Gumley Road northern kerb line in a northerly direction for a distance of 7m 

      1. On the northern side of Gumley Road, from East Street eastern kerb line in an easterly direction for a distance of 10m 

      2. On the northern side of Gumley Road, from East Street western kerb line in a westerly direction for a distance of 10m 

      3. On the northern side of Gumley Road, from a point 1m east of the western boundary line of No. 64 East Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 5m 

      4. On both sides of Charlton Street, from Gumley Road northern kerb line in a northerly direction for a distance of 7m 

      5. On the northern side of Gumley Road, from Charlton Street eastern kerb line in an easterly direction for a distance of 10m 

      6. On the northern side of Gumley Road, from Charlton Street western kerb line in a westerly direction for a distance of 10m 

      7. On the northern side of Gumley Road, from a point 1m west of the eastern boundary line of the Substation to the rear of No. 51 Foxton Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 5m 

      8. On both sides of Foxton Road, from Gumley Road northern kerb line in a northerly direction for a distance of 12m 

      9. On the northern side of Gumley Road, from Foxton Road eastern kerb line in an easterly direction for a distance of 10m 

      10. On the northern side of Gumley Road, from Foxton Road western kerb line in a westerly direction for a distance of 10m 

       

3. A copy of the Made Order together with plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. 4. Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
