Herd Lane, Corringham - No Waiting Restrictions

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Off-street Parking and Waiting Restrictions Order 2005 (as amended)

 

  1. Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).

     

  2. The general effect of the Order would be to: -

 

  1. Revoke the following restrictions: -

    1. “No Waiting At Any Time” on the south-western side of Herd Lane from the south-eastern kerb line of Fobbing Road in south-easterly direction to a point 4.7m southeast of northern flank wall of No. 2 Herd Lane. 

      1. “No waiting 8.30am-9.30am and 2.30pm-3.30pm” on the south-western side of Herd Lane from a point 3m southeast of the southern flank wall of No. 8-10 Gower Lodge, Herd Lane in a south-easterly direction to a point 5.5m southeast of the southern flank wall of Tindall Hall, Herd Lane.  

       

    2. Introduce new waiting restrictions: -

      1. “No Waiting At Any Time” on the south-western side of Herd Lane from the south-eastern kerb line of Fobbing Road in south-easterly direction to a point 4.7m southeast of northern flank wall of No. 2 Herd Lane. 

      2. “No waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm” on the south-western side of Herd Lane from a point 3m southeast of the southern flank wall of No. 8-10 Gower Lodge, Herd Lane in a south-easterly direction to a point 5.5m southeast of the southern flank wall of Tindall Hall, Herd Lane. 

 

  1. A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk.  Those who are unable to use email can phone 01375 652652.

     

  2. Any support/objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 16th July 2026. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
