Lake Rise - West Thurrock

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic

1)The Borough Council of Thurrock, in exercise of their powers under Section 14(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers, intends to make an Order the effect
of which is to: -
 

- Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along Lake Rise between its junctions with West Thurrock Way and Grebe Crest.
 

-Prohibit any vehicle from parking along all kerb lines of Lake Rise between its junctions with West Thurrock Way and Grebe Crest.
 

- Prohibit any vehicle parking along both kerb lines of Cygnet View from its junction with Lake Rise for a distance of approx. 200m. in a westerly direction.
 

2) The purpose of the Order is to enable Thurrock Council to carry out carriageway
resurfacing.


3) The alternative route for northeast bound vehicles will be West Thurrock Way southeast
bound, and Grebe Crest and vice versa for southwest bound vehicles. Works will take place
in phases to allow for access to be maintained for businesses at all times.
 

4) The Order will come into force on the 8th June 2026 at 19:00hrs. Works are currently
scheduled to take place nightly between 8th June 2026 and 11th June 2026 between the
hours of 1 9 : 0 0 a n d 05:00. Exact dates however will always be specified
o n https://one.network/?tm=GB150263650. It only applies to those days and times
when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with
The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
 

5) It is expected that the works will be completed within the above times, however the Order
will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been
completed, whichever is the sooner
 

6) If the works are not completed within 18 months, the Order may be extended for a longer
period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
