Link Road From Lakeside Interchange To A13 Westbound (A126)
Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
The Borough Council of Thurrock is satisfied that it is necessary to restrict or prohibit traffic in the above road without delay because of the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the road. The Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, has therefore made the following Notice:
- Prohibit any vehicles from travelling northbound along the A126 from the off slip to Fenner Road roundabout.
The purpose of the Notice is to enable Emergency safety fence repairs on the National Highways Network.
The alternative route will be West Thurrock Way westbound, Arterial Road roundabout, Arterial Road westbound, Purfleet Interchange (J31), M25 link road to A13, Mardyke Interchange (J31), A13 eastbound.
The Notice comes into force 9th September 2026 22:00 and will be valid for 5 days. It is however expected that the works will be completed during one night. It will apply only on those days and during those times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
