London Road, South Stifford - No Waiting At Any Time

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

On-street Parking and Waiting Restrictions Order 2005 (as amended), Off-street Parking and Waiting Restrictions Order 2005 (as amended)

 

 

  1. Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on the 17th June 2026, the order will come in to force on the 20th July 2026.

     

  2. The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction “No Waiting At Any Time” at the following locations; -

     

    1. On the northern side of London Road, from a point 2m west of the western flank wall 340 London Road, following the kerb line in a westerly direction to the eastern kerb line of Service Road for 342 – 354 London Road

      1. On the northern side of London Road, from a point 9m east of the eastern flank wall 356 London Road, following the kerb line in a easterly direction to the western kerb line of Service Road for 342 – 354 London Road

      2. On the southern side of Service Road for 342 – 354 London Road, from the northern kerb line of London Road following the kerb line in a south-westerly direction to a point 1m west of the point opposite the common property boundary of no 354 and 354a London Road

      3. On the southern side of Service Road for 342 – 354 London Road, from the northern kerb line of London Road following the kerb line in a north-easterly direction to a point 1m east of the point opposite the common property boundary of no 342 and 344 London Road

       

  3. A copy of the Made Order together with plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively they can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk.   1. Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
