LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972
SECTION 123(2A)

Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Council intends to dispose of land which consists of, or forms part of, open space for the purposes of section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972.

The land affected is Land lying North-West of Clares Cottage, Stanford-le-hope, comprising approximately 2.25 acres, shown edged red on the plan. The proposed disposal is by way of freehold sale.

A copy of the plan identifying the land may be inspected at Thurrock Council, Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, Essex RM17 6SL during normal office hours. The plan can also be viewed on the Council’s website at www.thurrock.gov.uk/public-notices.

Any objections to the proposed disposal must be made in writing, stating the grounds of objection, and sent to Thurrock Council for consideration at:

Objections must be received no later than 5.00pm on 7 August 2026.

The Council will consider any objections received before deciding whether to proceed with the proposed disposal.
