Public notice

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that Thurrock Council (“the Council”) intends to dispose of an area of public open space being LAND TO THE NORTH-WEST OF NORTH VIEW AVENUE AND NORTH OF LEICESTER ROAD, TILBURY RM18.

The area proposed to be sold comprises approximately 23 acres of land. It is intended that the site be disposed of on a freehold basis.

A plan identifying the land affected by this notice accompanies this notice. An electronic copy can be obtained by emailing assetdisposals@thurrock.gov.uk   The plan is also available to view on the Council's website at www.thurrock.gov.uk/public-notices 

By virtue of Section 123(2A) of the local Government Act 1972 the Council is required to give formal notice of its intention to dispose of public open space and consider any objections to the proposed disposal. 

Any representations regarding the proposed disposal should be made in writing and addressed to Project Director, Asset Disposals, Thurrock Council, Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL no later than 12 noon on 25^td September 2026.
