Public notice

1) The Borough Council of Thurrock gives notice that under Section 90 of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers, it is considering a proposal to install Speed Cushions on Chestnut Avenue at the following locations:-

• On Chestnut Avenue, outside 1A Chestnut Avenue
• On Chestnut Avenue, outside 21 Chestnut Avenue
• On Chestnut Avenue, outside 36 Chestnut Avenue
• On Chestnut Avenue, outside 53 Chestnut Avenue
• On Chestnut Avenue, outside 80 Chestnut Avenue
• On Chestnut Avenue, approximately 25m south of junction with Long Lane

2) The speed cushions be installed in sets of 2. The cushions would have a maximum width of 1.7 metres, and length of 3.0 metres long and have a maximum height of 75 millimetres. 

3) Copies of the plans detailing the proposals can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively, the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via TransportDelivery@thurrock.gov.uk. 4) Any person wishing to comment on the proposals should do so in writing to the address above or by e-mail to TransportDelivery@thurrock.gov.uk by no later than 31st July 2025
