Stanford-le-Hope Interchange and Orsett Cock - 24 Hour Clearway

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic

  1. Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).

     

  2. The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new 24 Hour Clearway “No Stopping on the carriageway, verges and footways” at the following locations;-

    1. The circulatory area of the Stanford-le-Hope Interchange Roundabout. 

      1. The circulatory area of the Orsett Cock Roundabout.

 

  1. A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk.  Those who are unable to use email can phone 01375 652652.

     

  2. Any support/objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 9th July 2026. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
