1.The Borough Council of Thurrock, in exercise of their powers under Section 14(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers, has made an Order the effect of
which is to: -
 

Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along Station Road from its junction with
Princess Margaret Road for a distance of approx 1.3km.
 

Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along Love Lane in its entirety.
 

2) The purpose of the Order is to enable contractors on behalf of the Lower Thames Crossing
to carry out utility installation between two access points for the Station Road and North
Portal compounds, UK Power Networks to carry out a new service connection and BT to
carry out duct work.
 

3) The alternative route for eastbound vehicles is Station Road, Church Road, Cooper Shaw
Road, Fort Road, New Port Approach, Ferry Road, St Andrews Road, A1089, A13 eastbound,
exit off slip to Orsett Cock Interchange, Stanford Road, Buckingham Hill Road, East Tilbury
Road, and Princess Margaret Road and vice versa for westbound vehicles. Access will be
maintained for residents and businesses at all times.
 

4) The Order will come into force on the 21st September 2026 at 08:00hrs and will remain in
force continuously until 26th September 2026 at 18:00. Exact dates however will always
be specified on https://one.network/?tm=GB152275704 It only applies to those days
and times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in
accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
 

5) It is expected that the works will be completed within the above times, however the Order
will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been
completed, whichever is the sooner
 

6) If the works are not completed within 18 months, the Order may be extended for a longer
period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
