Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic

Station Road, East Tilbury

The Borough Council of Thurrock, in exercise of their powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers, intends to make an Order the effect of which is to: -
 - Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along Station Road from a point approx 404m west of its junction with Love Lane for a distance of aprox 292m in a north westerly direction.
- Temporarily revoke the 7.5tn weight restriction on Station Road

2) The purpose of the Order is to enable contractors to carry out works on behalf of Lower Thames Crossing.

3) The alternative route for eastbound vehicles is Station Road, Church Road, Cooper Shaw Road, Fort Road, Windrush Way (New Port Approach), Ferry Road, St Andrews Road, A1089, exit of slip A1089 To Marshfoot Road Roundabout Northbound, Marshfoot Road Roundabout, Marshfoot Road, Gateway Academy Roundabout, Marshfoot Road, Chadwell Bypass, Chadwell Hill, Linford Road, Muckingford Road, and Princess Margaret Road and
vice versa for westbouond vehicles. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses at all times.

4) The Order will come into force on the 13th October 2025 at 07:30hrs. Works are currently scheduled to take place daily between 13th October 2025 and 19th October 2025 between the hours of 07:30 and 18:00. Exact dates however will always be specified on https://one.network/?tmi=GB41492035 It only applies to those days and times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The
Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5) It is expected that the works will be completed within the above times, however the Order
will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been
completed, whichever is the sooner

6) If the works are not completed within 18 months, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
