Careers in building trades
Building Heroes is a charity that provides training and support into employment in the building trades for military veterans.
They offer a free 5-week training course in property maintenance for military veterans and service leavers.
Skills include:
- brickwork
- plastering
- plumbing
- carpentry
- joinery
- tiling
- painting and decorating
- general maintenance
No previous experience or qualifications are needed – there are job vacancies nationwide.
Courses are run at the Colchester Institute in Essex, and elsewhere around the UK.
