Our accounts and funds

The council's pension fund is part of the Essex Pension Fund managed by Essex County Council.

The fund is:

• part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
• governed by the LGPS regulations
• open to all council employees

Our pension fund accounts are:

• separate from the council’s accounts
• not included in the council's revenue account
• not included in the council’s balance sheet
• not included in other council statements
