Kynoch and the Corringham Light Railway

Wednesday, 1 March 2017 - 1:30pm

'Kynoch – the local force behind WW1' presented by Thurrock Museum Volunteers Supported by The National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund

Join us for a memorable talk on Kynoch and the Corringham Light Railway in World War 1 by experts Dr Vivien Newman and James Reynolds as they take us on a visual journey to bring these two local historical institutions to life.

The Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Cathy Kent and Consort will be honoured guests at this event, which also includes a special performance of WW1 songs by the Woodside Academy Choir

Dr Viv Newman is an author and broadcaster specialising in the lives of women in the Great War. Her books will be available to buy at the event

James Reynolds is a train enthusiast, knowledgeable in obscure railways of south Essex.

There will be an opportunity to meet both speakers afterwards.

You can see photos from the exhibition online at Flickr: Kynoch and the Corringham Light Railway.
