All Thurrock libraries will be closed on Monday 6 May (Early May bank holiday) and Monday 27 May (Spring bank holiday). Libraries will be open at their usual times on all other days in May.

Belhus Library - part of the South Ockendon Centre

Belhus library is a part of the South Ockendon Centre, which opened its doors for the first time on 25 March 2013. The South Ockendon Centre has public access computers, self-service facilities, and 2 public toilets with access for disabled people.

The library originally opened at its current premises in February 1955.
