Coronavirus (COVID-19) – libraries

Go to our coronavirus (COVID-19) safety page for information on visiting re-opened libraries. Items due for return between 1 January and 31 July have had their loan dates extended automatically – to 1 September for libraries that reopened in July, and to 2 November for other libraries. Please do not put borrowed items in library book drops or letterboxes.

Grays Library

Grays library is open from Wednesday 15 July 2020 – go to coronavirus (COVID-19) safety for details of temporary service changes.

The public entrance for the library is temporarily on Cromwell Road.

The library was first opened in 1903 in a building built with money from the Carnegie Foundation.

There are public toilets on the ground floor of the library. There is 1 toilet with access for disabled people, using a RADAR key.
