The main entrance to the Thameside Complex is temporarily closed – a temporary public entrance to Grays library is open on Cromwell Road, at the right of the Thameside Complex.

Grays library was first opened in 1903 in a building built with money from the Carnegie Foundation.
There are public toilets on the ground floor of the library. There is 1 toilet with access for disabled people, using a RADAR key.
