Nominate to the Mayoral Roll of Honour
The Mayoral Roll of Honour recognises and celebrates those who have made Thurrock a greater place to live, work, learn and play. It shines a light on individuals, community groups, charities and businesses that have worked hard to serve our great borough in extraordinary ways.
Those inducted into the Mayoral Roll of Honour have a lasting place in our borough's history.
Make a nomination
Anyone can make a nomination using the form below. Your nomination must include your name and the names of 2 current councillors of Thurrock Council who can confirm the nominee:
- is of good character
- deserves recognition
Before nominating, please check the Mayoral Roll of Honour – including past years – as we cannot accept additional nominations for a person who is already listed.
After you nominate
The office of the Mayor of Thurrock will consider nominations in the order they are received, and will confirm details with the 2 councillors named on each. The Mayoral Roll of Honour will be recognised each month and awarded at the discretion of the Mayor.
All those granted the award will:
- receive a prestigious Certificate of Achievement
- get a special mention at the start of each monthly Council meeting
- be listed on the Mayoral Roll of Honour web page
In some cases where nominees deserve recognition but don't qualify for the Roll of Honour, the Mayor will issue a Certificate of Recognition instead.
