Thurrock 2022 local election results announced

The results of Thurrock Council’s elections have been announced.
Elections took place in 16 of the borough's 20 wards yesterday (Thursday 5 May).
Following the count these are the results:
30 Conservative – held 7, gained 2, lost 2
14 Labour – held 4, gained 2, lost 3
2 Independent – gained 1
3 Thurrock Independents – no change

The results of Thurrock Council’s elections have been announced.
Elections took place in 17 of the borough's 20 wards yesterday (Thursday 6 May). The results mean the Conservative party remains in overall control of the council. The new totals of councillor seats are:

Thurrock Council has officially announced this year's local election and the election for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) for Essex. The polls will be held on Thursday 6 May 2021.
The notices of election for both were published today (Friday 19 March). Nominations to stand as a candidate close at 4pm on Thursday 8 April.
